ARTIST STATEMENT

Encaustic or photography…..both mediums allow me to create how I see this world, or the world of my imagination. Finding a moment in something that constantly changes…….water, clouds, light, capturing that magical movement, that mystical motion.

My encaustic work allows me to create a moment, place, or being. Never truly obvious at first - but an image that encourages you to wonder - and create with your own thoughts.

My photography gives me the chance to capture something in a way that makes it a wonderment. Stopping movement of something that’s always moving, or getting so close to something to find even more sensation of the hidden beauty.
